  • HAVA - Public Law 107-252 was created by Congress in 2004 to assist the States in creating statewide voter registration databases, create accessible voting polls, etc.  This was a unique program that "pre-funded" the programs therein and purposefully denied the EAC which was also created through this legislation, from enacting, promulgating, or even verbally attempting to control how the State spent the funds.  This new type of program was given a name - Requirements Payments.  Specifically NOT grants.

    In paragraph two we go on to tell about the accomplishments of this program in New Hampshire.

    Important Notices effective Jan. 1, 2016
    The Corporation Division has updated all department forms to remain in compliance with any and all upcoming law changes going into effect January 1, 2016.

    The new Name Availability Guidelines have been compiled; CLICK HERE to view them.  These guidelines are effective January 1, 2016.

    Effective January 1, 2016, Registered Agent and/or Address changes will NOT be assessed a $15 fee when these changes are made on an Annual Report filed between January 1 and
    April 1.  CLICK HERE for more information.

    Please note due to the implementation of a new software system, migration from the old legacy system and staff training, there will be processing delays on all filings submitted now through December 31, 2016.  We appreciate your patience during this transition time.
