Main Street Relief Fund

Prequalification Deadline:
May 29, 2020

The Governor has authorized the allocation and expenditure of an initial $400 million in emergency funding from the CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Fund (“flex funds”) to provide emergency financial relief to New Hampshire small for-profit businesses due to the economic disruption caused by COVID-19.  In order to be eligible, a business must have its principal place of business in New Hampshire and must have generated less than $20 million in revenue during the 2019 tax year.

Every eligible New Hampshire small business desiring to obtain relief must submit the prequalification form with all required information by May 29, 2020, this is a mandatory.  If a business does not submit a completed prequalification form in a timely manner, it will not be eligible to receive relief under this program.  The prequalification form must be submitted online through the website of the Governor’s Office for Emergency Relief and Recovery (GOFERR).


In light of ongoing COVID-19 concerns, the Archives & Records Management, Corporation, and Vital Records Divisions of the Secretary of State’s Office are suspending walk-in traffic.  Those wishing to do business with the Secretary of State’s Office are encouraged to use our website as much as possible.  Our staff is making every effort to accommodate customers’ needs online and by phone.  For contact information, click HERE.  Division phones are staffed Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

In light of COVID-19 concerns, the NH Secretary of State's Office is taking prudent precautions to protect the safety and wellbeing of the public we serve, as well as our staff.  To that end, if people have urgent business they need to conduct with the Secretary of State's Office that cannot wait, we strongly encourage them to first try to do so from home, either online or by phone, if at all possible.  This can be done online at sos.nh.gov.  Alternatively, we can be reached at (603) 271-3242.  While the NH State House is closed, the Secretary of State's Office is open and staffed and we will work with citizens to accommodate their needs to the best of our ability.
